It's official!
I have technology ADD. (WebMD will catch up with that term soon, I'm sure of it.) It's self-diagnosed and as of now, untreatable. The symptoms are: starting multiple blogs to test the multitude of available (free!) 2.0 tools out there in the virtual world, creating multiple accounts on all sorts of (free!) digital tool sites, and - here is the most important symptom nailing the diagnosis down with a hammer on the head - not leaving myself any time to actually integrate any of this into any of my actual instruction! There are so many tools, ideas, content areas, age levels, learning styles, pedagogical best practices, etc. out there that I end up inundated in the bottom of the pyramid surrounded by gobs of potential lessons and professional practices. It's time for me to close out the overwhelming stage and choose a few stones to build my way up the pyramid and have something to show (completed lessons, student artifacts, etc.) for all the tech-ing I've been dabbling in. Time to stop thinking and get more doing done. That's why this blog entry ends here :)
